Akzidenz-Grotesk, one of the first widely used sans-serif typefaces, was created in the late 19th century. Initially rejected for its unconventional appearance, it later became a cornerstone of modern typography.
Through Akzidenz-Grotesk, I examined my identity while navigating life between Korea and the U.S. Like the typeface, which gradually found acceptance, I turned confusion into clarity — a personal evolution captured in this book.
To use type as a medium to express personal growth and clarity, drawing inspiration from Akzidenz-Grotesk’s historical evolution.
